Jim Webster has very kindly become a website contributor and has recently completed his first fishing club news article. Great article and he’s done very well with the photos too. Welcome aboard Jim!
Now we just need a few more locals with a bit of spare time on their hands every now and then to add their club newsletter or just tell the community what they are up to.
Shoalhaven Heads has a fair number of clubs and groups and I’m sure - in this modern age with most people having a computer - this is an ideal way to quickly get their news across.

About this site
This is the community website for Shoalhaven Heads, a small village on the beautiful south coast of N.S.W, Australia. It is designed and maintained by Andy Turner, a local who believes 'The Heads' deserves it's own place on the web.
For each person in Australia there are two sheep and over 16 rabbits, the latter introduced in 1859 by one enterprising pommie who brought 24 wild rabbits from England in an effort to remind him of home.
JANUARY 14 1939 - This was "Black Saturday" for Yalwal when bush fires burnt out everything except the Post Office and Anderson's and Fletcher's property. Yalwal was never rebuilt. Fires swept through the whole of the northern Shoalhaven and all of the mountains around Berry were ablaze. The calamity saw the formation of the Bush Fire Brigade. The brigade at Nowra was formed in January 1940, closely followed by others.
