It’s been a busy month on the site as regulars would have noticed. I decided I needed to devote a good day a week (between phone calls, emails and other work) to adding content and improving the site.

Recent changes include improvements to the ‘Recent’ and ‘Latest’ articles area with thumbnails of the article images, tidying the Classifieds block and adding the news feed ticker to keep us all up to date with breaking news.

I decided to try using Google Adsense ads in the articles as well. They aren’t too intrusive and seem to be fairly relevant to the article content so far. Anything to assist with keeping the site running is worth trying!

Finally, most of the site sponsors have very kindly continued to support the project - do make use of their services to help local businesses and tell them you saw their advert too.

Please, please - if you are a regular visitor or have just arrived and like what you see - what about telling a few people about it? It’s so easy. On every article there is an ‘Email this Article’ at the top just under the article title. Simply click on that and enter a few details including your friends email address(es) - you can send it to more than one at a time - and hit ‘Mail it!’

I do not retain either your or your friends email addresses, I just get notified that someone has referred the article to someone, so you don’t have to worry that you or they will be spammed!
