Just a few changes made recently to let you know about.

Firstly, thanks to local photographer Pete Izzard for providing us with some fantastic shots to put into a new photo gallery.

Secondly, regulars will notice a little ‘NEW’ graphic beside articles they haven’t viewed yet - you should be seeing it to the left of this article title on the home page. Of course, first-timers will see it on every article, but it’s pretty unobtrusive and let’s regulars quickly see the recently added items. Note that the plugin used to do this relies on ‘cookies’ to keep track of whether you have viewed an article or not, so if you delete cookies regularly you will see the graphic again on all articles, but most people don’t delete cookies apart from advertising ones.

Finally, as I moaned about in a recent site updates article, the classifieds have gone for now. They caused too much hassle and in a way, it may have been preventing people from bothering to write a short article to tell the community about an important event or similar.

Don’t forget that you can leave relevant comments on any article quickly and easily or as I said above, just send me a quick note on the contact page if you want to tell us about something you think is important. I don’t bite!
