Welcome! This is the page for the HSCC (Heads Seniors Computer Club) that was recently started here at Shoalhaven Heads. The information placed here is made available for public viewing so that members and prospective members can be informed about the club.

Brief History of the Club: In August 2009 a meeting of interested people was held to gauge the level of interest in forming such a club and as a result, a steering committee was formed to look into the viability of forming and running one. All available facilities were looked at and as a result of a very kind offer by the Shoalhaven Heads Bowling Club, it was decided that the venue for meetings, workshops and courses would be the Bowling Club. The availability of internet access, the reduced costs involved in making the computer club another ‘intra-club’ and the enhanced security and other facilities made this an obvious choice.

In September a public meeting was held. Membership forms were filled out and annual fees were collected from approximately 45 members which was an excellent result. The steering committee is currently working hard to arrange club computers, gather and write course material and decide on workshop and course structures etc.

In October our first ‘real’ club morning was held and a further 20 new members were signed up. Talks for beginners were held and a ’showcase’ of mini-talks to show members what the club was planning were well received.

As of the 25th November, the club is well on the way - the first general meeting has been held and a full committee was elected. Regular meetings are being held and if you are interested in finding out more, please visit our new website (the link is below). We hope to see you there!
