I’ve written here before about getting a computer club going here at the ‘Heads for the over 50’s to gain some skills and attend regular meetings and talks by invited guests. I recently emailed subscribers to my Andy’s Computer Corner newsletters to gauge interest in forming such a club.
The response has been very promising so far and so we are in the process of getting things moving.
If you are interested, please visit the Google Group page using the link below to register your interest and be a part of the process of forming the club.
Anyone who has some skills, not necessarily in computers, but possibly having some organisational skills or being involved in committees are especially welcome at this early stage as we need to quickly form a steering committee to kick things along.

Navy brings excitement to the ‘Heads
Easy answers…
Thanks for the kind words Mac. I greatly benefited from the cups of coffee & gardening knowledge you gave me too!
I would recommend to any Senior Citizens living in Shoalhaven Heads that they consider joining the proposed Senior Citizens Computer Club. I was fortunate to receive Computer Training from Andy when he lived in New Zealand and as result I have been able to research my Family Genealogy back to the late 1700’s via the internet. It has also allowed me to spend several hours every day roaming the net and improving my knowledge. It also helped me to keep in contact with family and friend around the world.
Additional to this my wife has also benefited from his tuition and now runs a Computer Learning Centre at one of the libraries in the city 5 days a week.
Andy’s method of teaching creates and atmosphere of confidence and desire to explore the wonders of the internet and has opened up a whole new life for me.
