Hope you all try and enjoy Patricia’s Monthly recipes. Each new recipe will appear on the first of the month. Patricia happens to be one of the best cooks on this planet and over the years has discovered and invented some wonderful recipes. Follow them and enjoy. The first recipe is a spectacular desert introduced to Patricia by local resident June Franks.

Extraordinarily Delicious Rumbaba

Rumbaba Tin

Rumbaba Tin

Ingredients:
1 Chocolate cake mix
1 Vanilla instant pudding
4 Eggs
1/3 Cup Vegetable Oil
1/4 to 1/3 Cup of Rum
1/2 Cup water
1/2 Cup or small packet of pecan nuts

Method:
Chop nuts and sprinkle around the greased tin. Put all the dry ingredients in a bowl and mix, then add the rest of the ingredients and mix until blended. Pour mix over the nuts and bake for approx 35 minutes at 180 degrees.

Sauce Ingredients:
1 Cup of sugar
2 oz (60 grams) butter
1/3 cup Rum
1/4 cup of water

While cake is cooking, mix sauce ingredients and bring to the boil. Keep hot and pour over cake immediately it is taken from the oven.
